Sun Glorious Sun, Cowes 7th July 2013

We have been basking in several weeks of continued sun...something a kin to summer, I had forgotten what that looked like.  We had Jude with us for the weekend following the fishing trip and Fisherman's BBQ...that was a boozy session!  Decided to take Zena's Parents to the IOW so we picked them up at the Hayling Ferry Pontoon and went to Cowes for the day, dropping them back to Sparkes Marina Hayling late Sunday Night. The Weather was outstanding and the sea flat calm F0 (No wind) superb cruising conditions and lovely day.

Zee chilling on our return

Zena & I took advantage of the great weather we've been having with a long weekend to Bembridge on the IOW, its only 8 NM from Langstone so we thought we would nip over and chill out.

On our return the one thing you dread at sea a technical problem, the boat would not get on plane, so we had to limp across at 7 knots in a lumpy sea F5/wind over tide...not pleasant!

Turns out the hub in the prop had gone faulty, after a few days I had it repaired and were all ready to go again, only problem is its now raining, thought it was to good to last.

Our New Home in Langstone Harbour 31st May 2013

We finally got onto our new "permanent berth A5" at The ECA Pontoons in Langstone Harbour, and we were greeted with a distinct improvement in the weather on the day....its almost summer. Its so much more rural and unspoilt than Port Solent, and no more long trawls done Portsmouth Harbour...we are out in open water in 5 minutes from here.

New Home a lot more tranquil than Port Solent

Greek Princess is now all ours! - May 28th 2013

We now own 2.5 tons of GRP ..... all bought and paid for!

ECA Langstone Harbour - Our New Home - 25th May 2013

After 4 years at Port Solent we decided to take advantage of the ECA's very reasonably priced moorings, which are tidal....this means GP sits on the ground when the tides out...scary!
So its a start to new cruising grounds and no waiting around for lock gates .... Bliss!
Just need some water now!
We are on A17 until Friday then we move to our permanent home on A5 stand by for new pictures

6th May Bank Holiday Monday

Its sunny and warm at last

See how many boats were out, not very often its this clear

Glorious day at Port Solent
Fabulous weekend, unfortunately we were both busy working, it was the hottest day of the year today with temperatures in the twenties.

Zee working today so I took the opportunity to clean the boat and took in some rays at the same time.
