Greek Princess back in port
Greek Princess back safe from a choppy 'wind over tide' crossing
After a six week wait, we finally managed to get out on the water with a run over to Bembridge Harbour for a couple of days, even though the temperature was a cool 10 degrees C (with the wind chill it felt more like 6) we decided to brave the elements and go. Its been the coldest April since 1981. There was a brisk Northerly wind blowing F4/5 all weekend (not ideal) but the winter chill is showing now signs of abating and we couldn't wait any longer.  Greek Princess ran well with no problems and it also gave us time to check her out before we start the season proper with the kids.  Its great to be back on the water.

Teak Decks Cleaned - Sunday 13th March 2016

Decks scrubbed and cleaned
Even cleaned the table
Transom was black & grey (cleaned it twice), however might still need another go.
What a bonus, three beautiful spring days has allowed us to be able to clean the decks. All up together ready for the maiden trip of the season, just need to get some fuel onboard and we will be ready to go.

Greek Princess relaunched, took a test run off the front on a glorious spring day, (warmest day of the year so far) can't wait for the season to get under way. The boat is looking fab after four and half months a shore, all back together and running sweet.

All finished ready for relaunch-4th Dec 2015

After a prolonged break in the weather I've managed to anti foul the boat. Now apart from a few small finishing bits (inside) Greek Princess is all back together and ready for relaunch. Our plan is to return to the water at the end of February 2016 ready for the season.

Annual Refit Well Under Way - 23rd Nov 2015

Our Alpha One Gen 2 Leg is all repaired following an upper drive shaft oil leak, New Drive Seal plus Yoke replaced and bearings pre-loaded by Dave Crawford Marine of Lymington, I replaced water pump and gaskets and reassembled. Leg is back on and tested all running sweetly. Today I cut back Blue and Lower White on the bottom hull and added new swish Decals/Logos as fitted on the newer 245's to give Greek Princess a bit of a face lift.

She's looking great now, just need to polish hull and 1st coat anti-foul before it gets too much colder...6 degrees daytime temperature today so need to get this done.
