January 5th 2014 - Anti foul Removal from the Hull

Removed the Anti foul from the Port Side

Halfway removing Anti foul from the Starboard side

Removed the Anti foul completely from the trim tabs
The leg is completely ready for re-connection, so with a break in the rain I decided to crack on with stripping the old anti foul from the Hull and Trim Tabs.  The boat is 10 years old in March 2014, so we've decided to strip back to the gel coat and start again to get the boat back to tip top condition.
This is a big job and will take several days just stripping back before we can make good, hopefully the final result will justify the hard work.

Maintenance Continues 19th December 2013

Prop rubbed clean of weed and barnies ready to be reinstalled

Ram Arms rubbed down & resprayed ready for re assembly
Progress on servicing the leg is continuing, hopefully re-assembly of the water pump and upper drive unit will be done in the next week.

Then the big job, that of strapping the old antifoul from the Hull.... just need some stable weather....!

Storm Protection at the Marina- 27th October 2013

Just returned form the Marina after adding extra lines and taking down the canopy. I got out the Storm Tonneau, as we've been lashed all day with F9 storm force winds, with F11/12 predicted overnight...Wow!

Tonneau on to reduce windage!

7th September 2013 Making Permanent Dock Lines

Spent the afternoon (finally) making up Permanent Dock Lines, splicing ends the eyelets and shackling to the dock, it took several hours but by the end I was getting faster....just three more to go.

Just preparing for the onslaught of winter in a month or two and a few Northerly's blowing down Langstone Harbour, lets hope the splicing holds.....!

Summer Holiday with the Grand Kids August 2013

We spent our family holiday on the Isle of Wight visiting Yarmouth & East Cowes over eight days, and going to many attractions (as you do) to keep the little ones amused. We had a great time and the weather was very kind, weve been enjoying the best summer in the UK for many years.
