Mini Heatwave - 20th/23rd April 2018

Following a prolonged winter, the weather finally improved with the temperatures in the high 20's Celsius, meant a weekend on the boat to finish preseason cleaning.

We turned Greek Princess on her mooring and made up new dock lines

Return to Haslar - 29th March 2018

Greek Princess returned to Haslar Marina today, weather conditions were dreadful F5 gusting 6, but got in safely and moored fine. Glad to be back on the water after a month a shore with new breathers fitted and new 245 logos now on.

Finishing Touches - 26th March 2018

Finishing Touches, replacing the prop and anti fouled the trim tab cylinders, just the breather pipes to go back on.

Polished and Anti Fouled - 21st March 2018

Lovely Sunny day so managed to get the boat polished and anti fouled, and the yard changed the breathers for me, so nearly there.

Finally Getting Somewhere - 20th March 2018

The temperatures finally increased today to 9 degrees, (bringing the much needed thaw), so I managed to complete the leg and also cut back the blue and white on the hull ready for polishing.

Snow Stops Play - 19th March 2018

We had hoped to get the polishing done today until the snow stopped play, with the clocks going back this coming weekend the weather is just unbelievable for late March.

The temperature took a dip and it started to snow again whilst I was rubbing down the trim tabs and leg ready for antifoul.

The Start of Annual Maintenance - 10th March 2018

I took all the annual maintenance equipment to the boat today, and covered the deck with sheets and made a start with Y10 'ing the waterline. Then I stripped off the old anodes and cleaned the hull barrier between leg and anti foul.

Annual Lift at Deacons Marina - 6th March 2018

We took Greek Princess to Deacons Marina on the Hamble for her annual lift, made pleasant change not to have to do the work myself.

Spring Clean at Haslar - 17th/18th February 2018

Finally a break in the long cold winter, so Zena and I headed off to Haslar for a bit of spring cleaning. We scrubbed away the winter green algae and grime, scrubbing off the fur coat below the water line which had grown since December.

Year End - 21st Dec 2017

Another year comes to an end, with Greek Princess tucked up in Haslar Marina for the winter, I managed to clean the fouling around the hull with a brush (as it was bad). Now all clean for a month or two until the annual lift scheduled for March 2018 time.

Back Home - 8th October 2017

After six weeks, the dredging of E pontoon Haslar Marina came to an end, so I headed to East Cowes on the South Island to bring Greek Princess back home. The sea state was perfect for the return crossing of the Solent. One of the few single handed trips I've done.

Last throw of Summer - 2nd/4th September 2017

With only a few days left of the summer holidays we decided to head to East Cowes where Greek Princess is currently moored for a few days. The weather turned even worse than expected so we battled the elements for a couple of days, also we relocated from M20 to C4 prior to heading home via the car ferry.
