With the winter creeping in I noticed the batteries were spitting acid around the engine bay, this happens when the plates are failing and the battery begins to boil after internal plate failure. So bit the bullet and replaced them with two sealed batteries to avoid a repeat of this problem. Also removed old tube heater and replaced with two smaller thermostatically Eco controlled units either side of the engine after having rewired a double socket in the engine bay.
