Great weekend at Bembridge Harbour for Easter with Jude & Little Zena aboard, first outing of the season and the weather didn't disappoint.

Spring Clean in the Glorious Sun - 8th April 2017

Went to the boat to do a full spring clean, doing the carpet, fore deck and teak deck, the weekend was bright and sunny all weekend. Great opportunity to prep the boat ready for the season.

New Home at Haslar Marina - 4th April 2017

After having taken on fuel at Southsea Marina, Greek Princess headed off along the front to her new home at Haslar Marine on Echo 08 for 2017.

Relaunch at the ECA - 3rd April 2017

Finally Greek Princess was on her way back to water after 5 months ashore at the ECA compound boxed in by Yachts. After relaunching Greek Princess she was moved to the holding Pontoon at Southsea Marina overnight.

Oil & Filter Change & Leg Completed - 13th/14th March 2017

With the weather being mild, I took advantage to complete the leg by fixing on the anodes and the polished SS prop. I also carried out a full Oil Change on the V8 engine, together with a new Oil Filter and Fuel Filter and replaced oil in the leg. Finally, I bagged up the leg to protect it (prior to launch) so when doing for the final cleaning and polishing it doesn't coat the out drive.

I completed the last of the interior jobs this week, fitting the Standard Horizon Fog Horn/PA speaker/Listening Microphone into the anchor locker, this was a major wiring job which took the whole day. I then sealed the front D Bolt in the bow which had been leaking for sometime and finally removed the broken teak edging on the cabin steps and replaced with new (this had become damaged when the Grand  Kids were very young and use to slide down the steps on their tummy's), I had been putting this job off for years!!

New VHF with AIS receiver- 2nd February 2017

Yet another rainy day in February, so I decided I'd use the time to fit our new Standard Horizon GX2200E VHF radio on the boat and link it to the now re-positioned Garmin echomap 55dv which I've inbeded in the helm panel.  In addition I also added a new Standard Horizon Ram 3 VHF Repeater Unit.  I called up the Langstone Harbour Master to test and confirm it was transmitting OK. All proved to be good and talking too each other and the AIS receiver was now displaying vessels on the Garmin Unit.  Then finally, I setup the DSC/MMSI number on the VHF Unit to complete the job. We're all up and running and ready to go, bring on the spring and a return to water.
