Winter Layup Polish - 2nd Dec 2016

With the weather a little warmer than of late I decided to give Greek Princess her winter layup polish, and will do again just prior to relaunch in the spring. Managed to remove the fog from the blue upper band.

Few Jobs Done - 30th Nov 2016

Through November I've carried out a number of Commincation Enhancements, removing the old 0.9M VHF Glomex Aerial for a new 2.5M VHF Shakespeare Mast, that should sort out the comms problems we've been having.

I also changed the mast mounts to Glomex Heavy Duty SS adjustable mounts, so the aerials can be dropped when underway or navigating low bridges.  At the same time opting to change the old 0.5M DBTV Mast for a new Glomex 1.2M GRP/SS Ferrell Mast to improve overall TV reception, (that will keep the crew happy).

In addition, I removed the last plastic fitting by upgrading the Shore Power Socket to a SS Merinco Unit.

Then finally, I removed old Transducer for the new Garmin GT20 (designed for our Chart Plotter) with Down Vu technology, this provides both traditional Sonar and Actual 3D underwater imagery!

That completes a month of techy jobs, now need to crack on with the Hull & Leg.

Extended to 1.2 M GRP Mast

New adjustable bracket mounts on both sides, to allow us to drop the aerials when needed

Annual Lift - 3rd November 2016

Another season draws to a close and its that time of year to put Greek Princess on to her stands for a well earned rest and some much needed TLC. We can look back on the a season which included our first ever channel crossing and our visit to Jersey and Guernsey with Motorboat Owners Magazine. Its been a remarkable season all round and one we can look back on in old age and say 'we did that'.

ECA BBQ Weekend Bembridge - 2nd to 4th Sept 2016

Despite the poor weather we headed off to Bembridge Harbour on the IOW for the ECA Pontoon BBQ party. Friday was wet, but Saturday morning gave some much needed sun shine before the rain crept back in Saturday Night in time to the BBQ. Sunday was bright but windy at F5 gusting 6 so it was a breezy trip back and then into the ECA for Sunday Lunch.

August Bank Holiday - 27th to the 29th August 2016

With the sunny weather continuing we headed to East Cowes (just Zena and I) for a long weekend, and met up by chance with several of the gang from the 'cruise in company' who just happened to be their at the same time. We decided we'd go for a dinner at The Red Duster where we had a great time reminiscing over the cruise with the crews of About Time & Soluble.
