May Bank Holiday 2010 Brighton Marina

We decided to take the boat to Brighton for the May Bank Holiday, the weather wasn't great though and the sea state was F7 (rough) which made the journey a bit difficult.

But as ever 'Greek Princess' got us there and back safe and well.

About Greek Princess

She is a Bayliner 245 SB built in the US in 2004 and was originally owned by someone from Poole UK before we purchased her and renamed her Greek Princess. She is a 25 feet (7.4M) LOA, 4 Berth Day Cruiser powered by a 5.0 Litre V8 Mercrusiser Petrol Engine with an Alpha 1 Gen 2 Leg.

Her top speed is 34 Knots all though she crusies at 22 knots, which is comfortable.

We originally moored her in Southsea Marina but due to the continual windy conditions their and narrow fairways, we moved her to Oyster Quay Port Solent in April 2009.

We've recently had teak decking layed on the stern shelf and main deck which has given her a real touch of class.

Welcome

Hi this blog is about the trips and adventures of our Bayliner 245 SB (2004) known as Greek Princess and is named after my wife 'Zena' who is of Greek Cypriot decent, hence The Greek Princess.

We purchased her in August 2008 from a brokeridge in Shamrock Quay Southampton having never owned a boat previous. She has become such a big part of our social life which we enjoy with our grandchildren.
