We decided to head to Portland Marina a day early to avoid potential windy conditions predicted for Sunday, it was a short hope from Weymouth just 3.5Nm. On arrival into Portland we were confronted with hundreds of small sailing dinghy's heading out from the RYA training centre. We stopped just overnight anxious to catch the favorable conditions back to Yarmouth.
